Why to Say I Love You Everyday | The Inspiration Initiative

ONE day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was stuck with the pain of learning that sometimes some things aren't there anymore.
No more hugs, special moments to celebrate together, phone calls just to chat.
No more 'just one minute'.
Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away never to return, even before we can say goodbye, or that we can say 'I love you'.
So while we have it, it's the best we love it, savour it, care for it. Fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.
This is true for marriages, for old cars, for children with bad report cards, for dogs with bad hips and for aging parents and grandparents.
We keep them because they're worth it. Because we are worth it. Some things we keep with ourselves, forever, like a best friend who moved away or a poem written but never told.
There are just a handful of things that make us happy no matter what.
Life is important, fragile, and precious like the people we know and hold dear to our hearts.
Keep them close, let them know that you care, even if you think they don't love you back. You'll be amazed at what a smile and three little words can do.
